  • We are the o​nly LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) developer in Mid-Missouri.

    Why is that important? LEED-certified buildings are resource efficient. They use less water and energy and reduce greenhouse gas emissions. As an added bonus, they save money.

  • What are the requirements of LEED certified buildings?
    • SIP requirement on all home designs
    • Stormwater conveyance through open swales to provide additional stormwater quality and/or treatment to system
    • Improvements to stream buffer to slow stormwater runoff and improve habitat inside stream buffer zone
    • Remove sidewalk on one side of the roadway to reduce impervious area and/or heat island affect
    • Alternate materials for sidewalk to reduce impervious area
    • Shortening building setback to reduce length of paved driveway, to reduce impervious area
    • Use of solar street lights rather than hard wired street lights to reduce energy consumption
    • Solar panel shingles option on homes to reduce energy consumption
    • Geothermal field shared by multiple homes to reduce energy consumption for heating/cooling
